Did God made Marriage union as one flesh or Multiple Flesh?

By: Shaila Touchton | March 25, 2017 Bible says that Gods original intention was for one man to be married to only one woman. Marriage was instituted by God as a lifelong commitment (Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:3-61, 1 Timothy 4:1-5). Marriage means first that we must LEAVE our families of origin, then we must CLEAVE to one another in a commitment to the permanence of the relationship. Experiential marriage by its obvious numbers doing it has become quite accepted now which are ignoring Gods laws. They just do not realize that this situation does not at all serve as a good 'trial' marriage. Divorce is a genuine tragedy. It often leaves the marriage partners embittered and disillusioned. It robs the children of the love and security of a healthy family and denies them a good role model for their own future marriages. A real marriage is secure while experimental marriage is defined by its temporariness. 1.One man to be married to only one woman: The Bible says that Gods original intention was for one man to be married to only one woman: For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife [not wives], and they will become one flesh [not fleshes] (Genesis 2:24). Ephesians 5:22-33 speaks of the relationship between husbands and wives. When referring to a husband (singular), it always also refers to a wife (singular). For the husband is the head of the wife [singular] He who loves his wife [singular] loves himself. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife [singular], and the two will become one flesh....Each one of you also must love his wife [singular] as he loves himself, and the wife [singular] must respect her husband [singular]. If polygamy were allowable, the entire illustration of Christs relationship with His body (the church) and the husband-wife relationship falls apart. Divorce laws in America are so lax that almost anyone can dissolve a marriage and remarry at any time for any reason. od made one man for one woman, indicating He did not intend for either to marry anyone else. He said they should cleave to one another and the two become one. God joins the man and woman, no human has the right to break that bond. Divine law opposes divorce and remarriage. 2.God hates divorc: we see many marriages of today are filled with serial adulterers. In Gods eyes, divorce is violence directed against our own family; it is violence against our own flesh and blood, violence against our husband or wife, violence against our children. God hates the suffering of the children involved in divorces. God hates it when a home is broken and a family shattered. God hates it when children are deprived of father or mother by divorce. God loathes the heartbreak of the children, and the loneliness experienced by the divorced husband and wife. It is not good for man to be alone and divorce results in loneliness. It is not good for children to be deserted by their parents, and divorce results in deserted children. It is unthinkable that God could have any other attitude to divorce. The message of Malachi is that God hates divorce. 3. Reconcillation: Although divorce is permitted for marital unfaithfulness, the Bible teaches that we should do all we can to achieve reconciliation. The unfaithful partner bears a terrible responsibility for they have sinned against God, against their marriage partner, against their children and against their family. They should repent of their foolish action, change their behaviour and ask for forgiveness from all concerned. Adultery is not the unforgivable sin, and God is able to restore the relationship if there is a true change of heart. True reconciliation requires a change of behaviour on the part of the unfaithful partner, and that the one who has been sinned against should be willing to forgive and be reconciled. Although this may take a long time to achieve, and sometimes is not possible because of the unrepentant heart of the unfaithful partner, the faithful partner should aim at this rather than allowing their marriage to be broken by divorce. Even after divorce, the possibility of reconciliation should be left open, and, if at all possible, it should be sought actively and encouraged. Gods guidance for those who face the possibility of a divorce because of marital unfaithfulness is that they should do all in their power to save their marriage. They should be like Hosea and again show their love to their unfaithful partner, doing everything possible to achieve reconciliation. 4.Divine law opposes divorce and remarriage: .Jesus has spoken about divorce because it is sometimes allowed because of adultery. It is not encouraged. God says, "I hate divorce!" Divorce is a genuine tragedy. It often leaves the marriage partners embittered and disillusioned. It robs the children of the love and security of a healthy family and denies them a good role model for their own future marriages. 5.Our society: In America, over 90% of single-parents are single-moms. Women and children are more adversely affected by the erosion of the marriage bond. The American family is falling apart. Consider the following statistics. In 1950, about one out of every 20 children born in this country was born to an unmarried woman -- and there were very few abortions. By 1990, more than one out of every 4 children was born to an unmarried woman -- and hundreds of thousands more were aborted. Approximately half of all marriages that take place this year in the U.S. will end in divorce. The downfall of the family unit in society is one of the most tragic things facing mankind. The destruction of the family unit all begins with the destruction of what starts a family - the marriage of a man and a woman. It is hard to find people who have not been divorced and remarried at least once these days. Why? Because, the institution of marriage and family is generally not held in the esteem that God meant for it to be. The family was God's first institution, but today man seems to think it is the worst institution. In the beginning, God created man and woman and joined them together for life. He said in Genesis 3:24, "Therefore man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." In these words God, instituted the marriage relationship and ordained the family unit. Later, after their transgression, Adam and Eve had children which completed the family unit in its simplest sense. The problem today is that many want marriage and even children, but when things get difficult (even barely difficult) - they want out. This is why divorce rates have skyrocketed over the last 30 years. Irreconcilable differences, money, children, infidelity, and "not what they expected" are all justifications men and women use to end marriages. Ultimately, they amount to a long list of excuses and center around one person, "me." Selfishness is the biggest destroyer of marriages. In turn, the family unit has for the most part come to mean nothing. Children in turmoil and confusion are the consequences of such thinking. They get wrapped up in a vicious cycle of broken homes that only they can choose to break. That is, the average child of a divorced couple will inevitably divorce unless they consciously and determinably choose not to fall prey to the same thing their parents did. This is shameful. Today, if a Christian wants a divorce, they twist the scriptures to fit their desire or they hear a prophecy, or a voice that says, "God doesn't want you to suffer anymore." They try to justify their decision to others because they KNOW they're guilty. These fine Christian people, ministers, pastors, prophets, and evangelists come up with all sorts of wild ideas why it's okay to divorce. But, there truly are few good reasons to divorce. We marry "until death us do part" - binding our bodies, our flesh, together while those bodies live. The commitment then, is generally envisaged to end on death, and not until then. There is no marriage in heaven. The "one flesh" that the Bible describes is figurative of the union between Christ and the Church, and shows that a husband must love his wife as Christ loves the Church, and that a wife must submit to her husband as the Church must submit to Christ 6. The "One Flesh" scriptures and the duty of marriage: Every sexual liaison, whether within marriage or not, carries with it that mysterious deep bonding process of becoming "one flesh" with the other person. (Divorce is terribly painful partly because of the violent ripping apart of this "one flesh" bond-- a tearing apart which goes to the core of one's being). Genesis 2 vv 21-24 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Matthew 19 : 4-6 4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Mark 10 6-9 6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 1 Corinthians 6 : 15-17 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 1 Corinthians 7 : 2-5 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. Ephesians 5 : 22-33 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. But being one flesh can include more than sex, the physical act of intercourse. It means the sharing of life, not just bodies and material possessions, but thoughts and dreams, joys and sufferings, hopes and fears, successes and failures. In short, it's being one soul as well as one body. The husband who loves his wife loves himself, nourishing and cherishing her as he would his own flesh. This is what it means to be one flesh. 7.The Biblical concept of "one fleshness" comes up again in the New Testament.:In 1 Corinthians Paul writes, Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For "the two," He says, "shall become one flesh." But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 5:13-20) The New Testament's several warnings about this are all equally strong--these are matters of life and death as far as Christians are concerned: Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, must not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." (Ephesians 5:1-17) Societies are built around stable family structures--it's how God designed things. (1) When young people lack role models for manhood and womanhood and marriage, how can they be expected to build a stable next-generation? God's Word warns us not to fall for these man-made standards of living. 8. Gods Word has not changed: God is today and has always been against His children participating in pre-marital sex! God wants us to have sexual relations with our husband or wife only. 1 Corinthians 7:2 reads "To avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." God's commands are not always easy to follow. Being an obedient child of God in this area requires you to see this sin the way God sees it. You cannot think of sex as just something exciting and fun to do. You must learn to treasure and respect your body as something that is beautiful and special, a work of art that is only to be shared with one person under God's conditions. You must go to God in prayer and ask for the strength you need to not give in to the temptations of the flesh. You will need to make it a point to not put yourself in situations where you are likely to stumble. And with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to resist the temptation to take part in pre-marital sex. 2 Peter 2:9 tells us, "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished." So if you truly are a born-again follower of Christ, do as we read in Colossians 3:1-3,5: "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Mortify (restrain) your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry." When you are intimate with someone in a sexual way, you are actually becoming one with that person on a deep spiritual level that goes far beyond just temporary thrills. Corinthians 6:15-16 reads, "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid. What! Know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh." So, again, every time you casually have sexual relations with someone who you are not married to, a little bit of your soul dies in a way. You have given to a stranger something that is valuable and precious. You have allowed this person to steal your wealth, to take away your honor. And Romans 13:12b-14, "Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying: but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." These commands are important and we should live according to them because God commanded us to, and because we show our love to Christ by being obedient. In John 14:15 Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." And 1 John 2:3-5 reads, "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. " If you say that you are a follower of Christ, yet you are out in the world fornicating and carrying on like all of the lost people of the world, than just maybe you are fooling yourself and you are not really a child of God's! 9: God never desired these things for the family: Malachi 2:13-16 says... And this is the second thing you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and crying; so He does not regard the offering anymore, nor receive it with goodwill from your hands. 14 Yet you say, "For what reason?" Because the LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously; yet she is your companion and your wife by covenant. 15 But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. 16 "For the LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce, for it covers one's garment with violence," says the LORD of hosts. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." It is easy to see why God despises divorce. He stands on high looking down on the destruction of His first institution! He sees children suffering greatly and shedding many tears at the hands of selfish adults who cannot fulfill vows and work out problems! He sees His children break His commands and His children's children learn to do the same! He sees treachery! It is both a wonder and wonderful, that God sent His Son to die for such a sinful and rebellious people. Now look at what the Lord said of marriage in Matthew 5:31-32. Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.' But I say unto you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality (fornication, jlp) causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery." That's right! The Lord said that we are not to give our wives (spouses, for that matter - God holds no double standard between man and woman - see Mark 10:12) a certificate of divorce! If we do, we cause them to commit adultery. In other words, we cause them to sin and will be personally held accountable (Matthew 18:6-8). Furthermore, anyone who marries someone who is unscripturally divorced, commits adultery. There is only one exception given to this rule, and that is when one is sexually unfaithful (commits fornication outside the marriage relationship) to their spouse. The innocent party who has put their spouse away can remarry, but the guilty party cannot. Notice Matthew 19:3-10. The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?" And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?" He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery." His disciples said to Him, "If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry." The Lord said it very plainly and simply. What is tolerated today was not so from the beginning and will not be tolerated in the judgment. If we divorce our spouse for any reason except sexual immortality (fornication), and then remarry - we commit adultery! If we marry one who has been divorced and remarried for any reason save sexual immorality - we commit adultery! We know from Galatians 5:19-21, that no adulterer will inherit the kingdom of God! It is that simple! Marriage, while not existing in eternity (Mark 12:25), has eternal consequences. Notice the statement made by those who heard this teaching. They said, "...it was better not to marry." The Lord did not disagree, but knew that some could not keep this saying - so marriage, when properly esteemed is left honorable in the sight of God and man (Hebrews 13:4). Overall, what this says is that the marital commitment is a serious one and is never to be taken lightly. It is a life-long commitment (Romans 7:1-3)! When two people are lawfully married, God recognizes that union and joins them together (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Ephesians 5:31). In Matthew 19:6, the Lord said, "Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder." This is a command of the Lord given in regards to marriage. Nevertheless, God joins two together in the marital relationship and they stay bound until death do them part (Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:39) or until they lawfully end the marriage (because of sexual immorality - fornication - Matthew 19:9), in which case only the innocent party can remarry. Consider what John the Baptist said to Herod, who was, in the sight of God, unlawfully married to his brother's wife, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife" (Mark 6:17). Why did he say this? Because she was still bound to Philip, and could not lawfully be married to Herod. These words were as unpopular then as they are today. Then, it cost John the Baptist his head. Today, many a soul will despise another for teaching the truth. Nevertheless, this is clearly what scripture says we must do if we are in an unlawful relationship. Consider also the example of the woman of Samaria whom Jesus spoke with at Jacob's well (read John 4:15-18). She had been married five times, yet according to the Lord, had no husband. Why is this? Because our ways are not God's ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Because what we sometimes recognize as a marriage, God recognizes as unlawful. Notice, the Samaritan women knew the error of her way without the Lord's prompting. Once again, what does the scripture say? 10. Those today who are committing adultery: Those today who are committing adultery by living in an unlawful relationship - that is, a marital relationship that God considers adulterous? What must they do to make it right with God? Put simply - repent (Acts 3:19; Acts 8:22; Acts 17:30)! How does one repent of an unlawful marriage? Two ways are revealed in scripture. The first, and ultimately best way, whenever it is possible, is to end the unlawful marriage in the sight of men, and be reconciled to the one whom God knows you are still joined to in His sight (your first lawful marriage - 1 Corinthians 7:10-11). Whenever the first way becomes impossible, because the first spouse does not want to be reconciled, we are left only one choice. We must become a eunuch for the kingdom of heaven's sake (remain unmarried and do not commit fornication - Matthew 19:12; 1 Corinthians 7:11). What if children are involved? This is where things get very emotional and messy, but do not change the law of God. Read the following passages and consider who must come first - God or man: Luke 14:26, Mark 10:29-30 and Matthew 10:37-39. Obviously the children cannot and should not be abandoned, but the unlawful relationship must end if repentance is to prevail! To despise vows made before God and to fulfill the desire of the flesh by living in an unlawful relationship bears serious consequences - the loss of our salvation. In the end, we'll reap the reward of our lives here. Unfortunately, for many, the choice is to reap their reward now in this life and deny the glory awaiting them in heaven. Hopefully, all who find themselves in an unlawful marriage relationship will repent before the everlasting too late! 11:Living together is for married life not before Marriage:God's plan for a successful marriage is that it should be an exclusive sexual relationship with one person, for life. Genesis 2:18-25 describes marriage as a divine institution. God presented Adam with Eve and established the first marriage. Some of Gods purposes for marriage as stated in the Bible are companionship(Genesis 2:18) ,procreation(Genesis 1:28), mutual and undefiled pleasure ( 1 Corinthians 7:4-5,Proverbs 5:18-19 Song of Solomon; Hebrews 13:4), prevention of immorality (1 Corinthians 7:2,5), the serving of Christ as a whole and properly representing the spiritual relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and the raising of godly descendants (Malachi 2:13-16). The bond of marriage when respected leads to the good of not only the couple and their children, but also to the good of the society as a whole, for the family unit is the building block of any society and nation. Many people in our society live together before marriage to see if they are compatible as they don't want to divorce. This is definitely a sin of fornication in Gods eyes but not in worlds view. Living together is wrong: it is against God's law, and is morally indefensible. Living together shows a total lack of trust, faith and obedience in God and a failure to commit to Him the choosing of a life mate. Living together is nothing but trial and error marriage method. Its like experimenting the relationships. The fact is about 60% of marriages in the US end up in a divorce. Most of the western countries live together in relationship and has been accepted and encouraged in their society. That is why they have highest divorce rates, violence, crimes, broken families, life of promiscuity and drugs, loneliness ,sexual sins, high rates of legal abortion, higher rates of sexually transmitted disease, Neurotic disorders, health risks and many people never marry because they can not find Mr. and Ms Right and Perfect. Directly or indirectly it has contributed for single Parents/families with no Man as a spiritual and family leader to protect their families. Many researchers say that Couples who move in together before marriage hare two times more likely to divorce than couples who marry before living together. Couples who lived together before marriage tend to have poorer-quality marriages than couples who did not cohabitate before marriage. Couples who cohabitate before marriage tend to be less committed to their spouse and less likely to remain faithful than couples who did not cohabitate. Men who cohabit are especially less likely to ever commit to marriage. Couples who cohabitate tend to have less traditional views about marriage which, among other things, tends to weaken their faith and belief in God. Children who live with their parents in cohabitation arrangements tend to have more emotional and/or academic problems than children who live with two married parents. Children whose parents modeled cohabitation are more likely to do the same than children whose parents modeled marriage first. 12.Sex before marriage: is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to. Premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture, along with all other forms of sexual immorality (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13, 18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes complete abstinence outside of (and before) marriage. The Bible tells us over and over again to avoid, flee from, run from temptation - especially sexual immorality. By living with someone of the opposite sex you set yourself up for temptation The Bible tells us to avoid the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22; Ephesians 5:3), to flee from immorality, and not to cause anyone to stumble or be offended. "Observe and obey all this words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God." (Deuteronomy 12:28) We need to delight in the Lord by finding pleasure in knowing Him and trusting that He will delight us in return. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). We need to pray to God day and night with praise and Thanks giving and with supplication and prayers to find a suitable life mate for us. Proverbs 3:6 tells us, In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Marriage, in a Christian's life, should be based on a decision directed by the Holy Spirit. If we will totally commit to do His will we will never be disappointed in the one He sends into our lives. God will bring him/her into our lives as we are in the process of looking, according to His perfect will and timing. If we pray, God will lead us to the person He has for us. If we wait for His timing, we will be given the person who fits best with our background, personality, and desires. We have to trust in Him and His timing (Proverbs 3:5), even when His timing is not our timing. God's timing is perfect, and with faith and patience, we will receive His promises (Hebrews 6:12). If we maintain close fellowship with God, He will lead us and guide us. If a person is walking with the Lord and truly seeking His will, God will lead that person to the spouse He intends. God will lead us to our soul mate if we submit to Him and follow Him. Final word we have to be Godly examples in everything. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). May God give us the grace and strength to serve him by serving our families. Category: General Christian Articles Tags: Marriage one flesh union or multiple Flesh

Deny ungodliness and pursue Godliness

By: Shaila Touchton | March 25, 2017 Unrepentant, non believers and rebellious person continues to live in sin reject correction and they do not want their evil deeds to come to light because their works are evil and they live in comfortable sinful lifestyle. They are always looking for ways to mock and attack believers and those who are walking in Godly ways (Micah 3:2). Ungodly people are spiritual blinded whose lives are not godly and are always opposed to God and his ways. The Bible says that ungodly people hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD and they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. They are people who do not put God and his Word first in their life rather they are more into worldly materialism, fun and enjoyment. They decide what is right and wrong out of their own mind and lusts, and reject and despise Gods demands and prohibitions. When you rebuke ungodly he will mock at you or he will find excuses to defend himself. Few among them may also say I am not into religious or spiritual stuff because we are all sinners and there is no one perfect. They are often filled with pride and arrogance, they boast and justify about their sinful lifestyle proudly. As John 12:40 says The Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts--so that their eyes cannot see, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them." The counsel of the ungodly is any philosophy, teaching, idea, advises, thoughts, behaviors, lifestyles and attitude that does not come from the Bible and the Holy Spirit rather it comes from evils spirit which is demonic. The way of sinners is the path of ones own will instead of Gods will. God's word says that you need to choose people that will lead you CLOSER to God - evil, ungodly people will corrupt you. Psalm 1:1, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. There is no sin or habit which cannot be overcome, but sinners continue in sinning and they morally corrupt their surroundings. When we were born into this world, we were born with a sinful nature that opposes the law of God. But when we are born again by the spirit of God, we received a new divine nature that hates sin and we are born of God which we have a new nature that is convicting us of the sin in our life and moving them forward in Gods grace and victory over sin. Isaiah 9:17 Paul encouraged Timothy to be an example to other believers in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). Jesus warns us never to set a bad example and cause others to sin (Romans 14:13, Matthew 18:6, 1Corinthians 8:9-13). People are watching our lives, and we should present a good example (Rom.14:7, 1 Cor. 15:33) Whoever is born of God will not live in sin. (1 John 3:9).We need to hate sin by refusing to take part in it .We should condemn and rebuke the sin and the sinner when we see it. Since sin is of the devil. (1 John 3:8). Sin is to be hated, not excused or taken lightly. It is not hateful to tell a person is in sin. All unrighteousness is a sin.( 1 John 5:17). Saints are made free from sins and have become slaves of righteousness (Romans 6:18).We should never encourage ourselves and others in any evil things which causes us to sin and we should not delight in those who commit sins. Sin is the nature of a wicked and a characteristic of a Devil and who has gone spiritually away from God . We should continuously pray to God at all times to deliver us from all evil And guarding our self not to have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. The sins are always to be confessed, repented, mourned truly in order to be a righteous before God. Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10. Scripture says to rebuke. In Proverbs 8:13: All who fear the LORD will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Romans 12:9 :Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Gal. 6:1 My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. Jas. 5:19-20 If your brother sins go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. Matt. 18:15 Titus 1:13: "This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith. Conclusion: May we all continue to encourage and inspire others to live a Godly life thereby living as children of light which pleases the Lord." Danger of Isolation in the Marriage

By: Shaila Touchton | March 25, 2017 When the marriage turns sour, unhappy and painful most people will try to have a extramarital affairs by being unfaithful to the marriage vows which leads to emotional adultery, and then later into physical adultery. Emotional adultery is unfaithfulness to the spouse in thoughts or heart or cheating on their spouses emotionally. When the spouse of unfaithful person knows the truth he will get hurt and his agony of betrayal is immeasurable and the marriage rips apart. His whole world would have collapsed. To avoid such kind of adultery the spouses need to be affectionate, accountable, understanding and should able to pay attention to their needs. Temptations are opportunities that either it will strengthen us or corrupt us morally which lead us in bad path. When they come along, we are given a choice to either turn away with God's help or surrender to the temptation. We must be spiritually minded to resist temptation, realizing that eternal spiritual values are more important that temporary earthly pleasure or gain. We should never fantasize about sinful thoughts. We can overcome temptation through Prayer, scripture reading, by resisting or avoiding it. If you put your trust in man or woman outside the marriage you are guaranteed to get hurt at some point, someone is going to let you down and deeply disappoint you. "Paul said believers put "no confidence in the flesh" (Philippians 3:3). Much of the hurting and the hopelessness you experience is a result of being let down by someone you trusted or someone close to you. You are trusting in someone or something other than God to bring you happiness and hope. A family with a stable marriage supports healthy socialization, healthy relationships,, healthy society and healthy nation and there by contributing a good morals. I hope the spouses understand each other needs and make God as the centre of marriage and work out their issues by not giving rooms for the devil to destroy their marriage. Daily Bible confession for Good Health and Healing.

By: Shaila Touchton | March 25, 2017 Jesus is our Physician. There is nothing impossible for him. These powerful verses offer comfort, hope and healing in difficult circumstances. I have personalized healing scriptures use to build your faith and affirm what God has said. Meditate on these, say it all the time, you will be healed in Jesus Name. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. So fill your Mouth with Life, Not Death. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless your holy Name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all your benefits; you forgive all my iniquities and heal all my diseases. You redeem my life from destruction and crown me with loving-kindness and tender mercies. You satisfy my mouth with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. You are the Lord who heals me.I will worship and serve You, O LORD my GOD, for You will bless my food and water. You will take away sickness from me. You will fulfill the number of my days. And You,O LORD, will take away from me all sickness, and will not inflict on me any of the terrible diseases I knew in Egypt. The tongue has the power of life and death, Hence I declare I am blessed and the Lord takes sickness away from me. God has set before me life and death; therefore, I choose life so that I may live and love the Lord my God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is my life and He will give me many years. The eye of the Lord is upon me and He delivers my soul from death and keeps me alive in times of famine. God sends His Word and heals me. I meditate on His Word day and night and it is health and medicine to my body. The Lord restores health to me and heals me of my wounds. I will be well again. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He healed people yesterday, He will heal me today. I will not die but live and will proclaim his goodness in my life. LORD, I KNOW that you will restore my health to me, and you will heal me of any wounds, because this is what you said. I have faith in the power of the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God to provide protection for my spirit, soul, body, family, home, and everything that concerns me. When I submit myself to the Word of God, resist the devil, and exercise faith in the power of the Blood, the wicked one cannot touch me. I believe I receive my total healing in Jesus Name when I pray. I have complete confidence in Your healing power to restore my health. I will exercise my faith, even if I experience pain and symptoms. I will not let natural unbelief be a counter weight to my faith I am submitting to God's Word. I am resisting sickness. I am actively fighting against all disease. When I am fighting sickness or disease, I am doing God's will. I am the Body of Christ. My body is the house of God. God lives in me and I belong to Him. I've been bought with the price of the blood of Jesus, so I glorify God in my body and in my spirit. I present my body as a living sacrifice to God - holy, devoted, and consecrated to please Him, which is a part of my spiritual worship to Him. I am not conformed to this world's way of thinking, but I am continually being transformed by the renewing of my mind to His Word so that I can prove what the good is, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God in my life. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me is condemned or shown to be wrong and stopped. This is the heritage God has given me as a servant of the Lord and my righteousness is of Him. I take the authority that is mine in the Name of Jesus and I command my body to get in line with God's Word right now and function in the perfection that God created it to function. Jesus Christ is Lord over my life - spirit, soul and body. I have received the power of God to make me sound, whole, delivered, saved and healed. Sickness, disease, pain, I resist you in the Name of Jesus. You are not the will of God. Jesus bore my sickness, weakness and pain, and I am forever free! I will exalt the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.Amen Category: Healing Tags: Daily confession for health and healing

Beware of the mark of beast

By: Shaila Touchton | March 23, 2017 A dragon with seven heads with seven crowns and ten horns will appear He is a beast, antichrist ascending from the bottomless pit. He Will Come As a Man of Peace and a Man of Power He will make a 7 year peace treaty with the nation of Israel Halfway through his seven-year reign, He will break the covenant. With the purpose of attacking God and God's people. His identification number is 666 He will mark 666 on all his followers which is called Mark of beast. It will be an end times identification mark by the Antichrist in order to buy or sell. The mark of the beast will be placed upon all who worship the antichrist All people will worship him and receive a mark on their hands or upon their foreheads God's people will reject the mark of the Beast Mark of the beast is the sign of the terrible judgments from God for the last days. Antichrist will gain total economic and religious control of the entire world. Whoever takes the mark or the name of the beast or worships him will be damned for eternity. He will persecute God's chosen people, the Jews, and the nation of Israel. He will appear as a lamb speaks as a dragon and does false miracles by the spirits of devils. He rejected Jesus Christ and claims to be God. At the end of tribulation, Christ will come again and destroy the beast. Satan will be bound and unable to influence mankind. And Christ will set up His Kingdom on earth that shall never be destroyed. A thousand years of peace on earth called Millennium. Category: My Christian Poems Tags: Mark of the beast

Beware of the signs of coming of Antichrist

By: Shaila Touchton | March 23, 2017 Antichrist denies that Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh He Opposes God and Exalts himself above God He is the beast rising up out of the sea, having 7heads and 10 horns Upon his horns 10 crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy He is the Beast with the number 666 He is the man of sin, the son of perdition The Man of Lawlessness and who change times and laws He is the deceiver of the elect and Wolf in sheep's clothing He comes in peace and obtains the kingdom by flatteries By peace he shall destroy many He will subdue three kings and is different from the other kings He will rise from obscurity and speak boastfully He will blaspheme God, slandering His Name and dwelling place He will not be succeeded by another earthly ruler, but by Christ He will claim to be greater than any god and he himself claims to be God He will be worshipped by many people His power shall be mighty, shall corrupt and destroy the mighty men and the holy people He was given freedom to exert his authority and to exercise his will during forty-two months. He will not regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god He receives a deadly wound and makes a war with saints of God He enters into the temple in Jerusalem on at least one occasion. He will have a false prophet who performs signs and wonders Like calling fire down from heaven and making a statue of a man speak He causes the whole world to worship him or be killed. He will conquer lands with his military power He will put an end to Jewish sacrifice He will hate a nation initially that will have some control over his kingdom But will eventually destroy this nation He will make himself known during the seven-year Tribulation period He will bind people and make them political, religious, and economic slaves of the kingdom of darkness. He will promote sin and unrighteousness on earth. He will be economic dictator, Leader of a one world government and religion. He will be leader and ruler of Babylon the Great during end times He shall bring a 7 year peace treaty 3 and half years into that treaty he shall break it and make war The Battle of Armageddon shall occur during his reign During this army man will march from the east towards Israel. His kingdom shall be most likely divided up into 10 regions He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people His armies coming against Israel at the beginning of the Great Tribulation At the end of the Great Tribulation, Christ will return To establish His Kingdom on earth and to destroy the Antichrist. Do not be partakers of others sins.

By: Shaila Touchton | March 25, 2017 Sin is breaking the Law of God (1 John 3:4). World is full of sinners. As a sinner, we are separated from God (Isaiah 59:2). Jesus Christ came to the world (1 John 4:10) died to pay for our sins on the cross. Sin is like disease that corrupts the body same as Sin corrupts the soul to become evil. It brings calamity to all those who participate in it. Gods word gives us warning not to associate those who do evil And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Eph. 5:11). When we rebuke a person who lives in sin, he will hate us or he might defend himself by twisting the scriptures according to his sinful desires. Truth always offends those who are living in sin and darkness. "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's Table, and of the table of devils."1st Corinthians 10:21. There are many people around us that even though they may not commit sins but directly or indirectly they consent or endorse with those who sins (Romans 1:29-32).Eg. of some excuses to partake in people sins are by Defending the sinner by arguments, or saying one was tempted , some may even partake in another's sin by simply not condemning the sin by Calling it as an occasional thing or social things or cultural thing or everyone does it or its good for health. The people who partakers of sins are often see things that are sinful, but they dare not to rebuke the sinner but they encourage the wicked. Ezek. 13:22 1Tim. 5:20; 2 Tim. 4:2 says be not partakers with the wicked," but "be partakers with the righteous. Even though we may think we are good enough, even one sin disqualifies us from being in the presence of God. David was an adulterer and murderer. Moses was a murderer, Abraham was a liar and coward, Jacob was a deceiver Yet, they were all considered righteous because the repented from their sinful ways and had a proper relationship with God .God forgave them and loved them. The unsaved person cannot understand God, nor His Word nor his commandments because he is not born without the Spirit of God in his soul because he is spiritually blinded .Gods word says But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1st Corinthians 2:14). Scripture clarification on this: Proverbs 11:20 - Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, But the blameless in their ways are His delight. Luke 17:3 - If your brother sins, rebuke him (. Matthew 18:15). 2 Timothy 2:24-26 - The Lords servant must correct those who have been taken captive by the Devil. James 5:19- 20-We should seek to convert those who go into sin and error. 1 Timothy 5:22-Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin. 2 Cor. 6:17-Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; and I will receive you " . Ephesians 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 5: 11-13, But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such one not to eat. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." God loves us and He will forgive us if we are humble before him by confessing of our sins to him and to each other by putting our trust in Jesus, by walking in his commandments and asking Him to forgive us of our sins by our genuine repentance. May God bless you as you seek to serve and obey Him! Category: General Christian Articles Tags: Dont be partakers of others sins

Biblical Evidence for the Rapture

By: Shaila Touchton | March 23, 2017 Scriptures says that God saves his people during all kinds of trouble and tribulation .God will pour out his wrath upon the evil of the world. The wrath of God is because of human sins and disobedience. The tribulation period is compared to the times of Noah and Lot by Jesus in Luke 17:28. Jesus said in Mathew 24:42-44, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come... So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. Scriptural Evidence for the Pretribulation Rapture: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2: Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ[a] had come. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5:3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[a] is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[b] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 1 Thessalonians 1:10:And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thes. 4:15-17: According to the Lords own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thess, 4:16-18:"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 1 Cor. 15:51-53:"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. Hebrews 11:5: By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Mark 13:32-37: But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is comingin the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! Matthew 16:28:"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." Matthew 24:40-41: Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left .Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Matthew 24:42-44, Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:31-32: When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy[a] angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:33-34:And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 1st Corinthians 15:20, 23, But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept... But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 1 Corinthians 15:52 :In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. Jude 1:14-15:14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. Revelation 19:11-14:Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had[a] a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,[b] followed Him on white horses. Daniel 9:24:24 Seventy weeks[a] are determined For your people and for your holy city,To finish the transgression,To make an end of[b] sins,To make reconciliation for iniquity,To bring in everlasting righteousness,To seal up vision and prophecy,And to anoint the Most Holy. Daniel 9:25:25 Know therefore and understand,That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street[a] shall be built again, and the wall,[b] Even in troublesome times. Isaiah 26:20:Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. Psalm 97:10 :Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 37:40:The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Rom 5:9: Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 2Pet 2:9: The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. Rev 2:22: Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. Rev 3:10: Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. Revelation 4:1 :After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this. Be separate from the Party world

Be separate from the Party world By: Shaila Touchton may 12 2018 Today many families are under attack in our society because of sinful worlds parties. Many people are obsessed with fun party lifestyle. Those who want to destroy the family will continue to urge mothers to leave the home and become fulfilled in the workplace instead of spending time with their children at the expense of their family. 1st Timothy 5:14-15 says I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan. Many people just want to have fun and party at work in the name of business, in the name of get together etc to seek personal fulfillment in career instead of family. They would be rather a corporate slave instead of serving their families. To serve God starts with serving in our families. Many successful man have crossed over the line of Gods limitations in the work place have selfishly ignored or neglected their marriage ,their families, their wife and children instead of spending a quality time with them, buried their emotions for their family and have worked like computerized robots. As a result marriages, relationships have destroyed, families have fallen apart. Most of the Parties involve things that are immoral for living, fornication, all sorts of worldliness, flirting, where drinking, drug use, temptation, lust, or adultery including the adultery of the mind is common. God says in Romans 13:13 not to participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Today majority of the people in the world are busy in searching for the worldly places to engage themselves in ungodly behavior to have fun and enjoyment or to hang out with their wrong ungodly friends. As a true believer in Christ our actions should not cause someone else to stumble in their faith or walk with God (2 Corinthians 6:3) and we are to guard ourselves against temptation, remembering that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33). God wants us to live by a higher standard by being examples of Christ rather than living by the worlds standards of life. Our goal should be to please God not a man. We must live right, by repenting all sins forsaking ungodly lifestyle, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the lost sinners by, setting a good example to our families, friends in a heathen world. God is concerned with how high a priority we place our families next to him. We all need to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to us (Matthew 6:31-33) What the scripture says: Ephesians 5:8 - "For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!" Ecclesiastes 11:9, Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.) 1 John 5:19, And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. Matthew 5:16 - "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." 1 Peter 2:12 - "Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." Luke 8:14:And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 1 John 2:15-17:Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." The more you spend time with Bible and have personal time with Christ in the midst of busy schedule , the more you will find that you will not even desire the things of the world any more. Believers need to avoid being double minded

By: Shaila T | March 22, 2017 A double minded person is one who say one thing and do another, they claim to know God and yet their actions do not live up to such claims. He thinks about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything; they are dually focused and have split opinions on the same subject. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. James 1:8. It is God who promises to, forgive ALL our sins and heal ALL our diseases.(Psalm 103:3).But only if we do it Gods way and Gods standards and not in mans way or man standards. We see many warnings in Bible being double minded. Some of them are: Elijah told Israel to stop being double-minded (1 Kings 18:21), Jesus tells us to stop being double minded (Mat 6:24), James tells us to stop being double minded ((James 4:8). One example of being double minded is that the person may ask help from God and at the same time he may suspect Gods promises and he do not trust enough that the Lord hears and answers his prayers because he does not have true faith. One moment he trusts and believe in God, the next moment he rely on himself or any other man like doctors, experts, scientists, counselors etc instead of trusting God 100%.There are few other Christians when they get sick instead of claiming God's promise for healing they say that God can heal through their doctors. But often they forget that When Jesus was on earth and people came to Him for healing, He never once said, "Go see Luke, I heal through doctors." (Luke was a physician). Instead, Jesus healed the person directly. Our actions will reveal our beliefs. If you claim to have faith, to believe God's promises, but you don't act on them, then you really have no faith. Your faith is "dead."(James 2:26). The human wisdom tells us that in order to trust anything we should believe only when the evidence is seen. Many people including me often have said I'll believe it when I see it," but God says different he says to us "walk by faith and not by sight."(2 Corinthians 5:7). In order to get healed by God one should have a genuine faith in God, confess and repent of his sins, follow the commandments, laws and decrees of God, Abide in Jesus Christ, humbly surrendering and submitting himself to God daily in everything ,pursuing righteousness and praying unceasingly by covering with the Blood of Jesus Christ. We need to come to God in complete faith, without doubting and wavering .God will reject our prayers, if we are insincere, or double minded. Devil always wants us to doubt God. Jesus said, "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me." (John 14:1). In Psalms 32:10 reminds us that "The Lords unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him." The Spirit of God which is our Holy Spirit creates faith in us and we should never reject what it says because God's voice is the Holy Spirit .We need to have true faith in God because he is trustworthy Hebrews 11:6 says And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Mark 9:23 says: Jesus said to him, if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes. Mark 11:24 says: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Every believer is commanded to be single minded and can claim health and healing today on the merit of the Blood of Jesus Christ making his requests known to God through prayer and supplication continuing to believe and stand for it, whether his request happens or not. Rom 5:9: Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him 2Pet 2:9: The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
