God says to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out Demons.

By: Shaila Touchton | April 12, 2017 We are authorized to cast out devils and heal sinners who are sick; those are two of the signs. Release the power of God into them. Believe that as soon as you touch them Jesus touches them. Jesus made it clear that those who believe upon Him will be following in His footsteps, doing the same things that He was doing... John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." What works did Jesus go about doing? He went about healing the sick and casting out devils! If we believe upon Him, then we are quite capable of doing those same things! This concept is written in black and white when Jesus said... Mark 16:15,17-18, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature... And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." The Great Commission of Jesus is not just to preach the Gospel to everyone, but to make disciples so the Gospel can be effectively preached to everyone. The Great Commission includes teaching disciples to do all the things Jesus taught His original disciples to do. That includes healing the sick and raising the dead! A commission is (1) an authorization to perform certain duties or tasks, or to take on certain powers, (2) authority to act in behalf of another, (3) an entrusting, as of power, authority, etc., to a person or body. So the logic is.Jesus told his disciples to raise the dead Jesus told them to teach “all nations” to observe everything he commanded them Jesus said they would do even greater works Therefore: We should be doing the same works that Jesus and the disciples did today. After all Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Scripture mentions only three people that Jesus raised from death, while multitudes were healed by Him. Healing is God’s will for everyone who will receive it, but coming back to earth after dying is not the will of God for everyone. Notice that almost all the people raised from death in Scripture were young. We should never try to raise someone from death unless we are sure it is the will of God. In this, we must be led by God’s Spirit. When we are certain of God’s will, we should command with authority and not give up. Death is an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26), and at the Name of Jesus every knee must bow (Phil. 2:9-10). Signs and Wonders were given for a reason. Before the New Testament was completed, they authenticated the message and the messenger. For example when Paul was attacked by the false teachers at Corinth he said this. The signs of an apostle were performed with great endurance among you–not only signs but also wonders and miracles. (2Co 12:12 ) Apostles were foundational for the church. There are no new apostles today. The age of signs and wonders is over. If it were not there would be a lot of evidence. Even Nicodemus conceded that the signs of Jesus had a powerful effect on the Jewish leaders of his day. This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”(Joh 3:2) God expects all of His children to be obedient to His call to minister regardless of the results—might they be outward failure, rejection, or even persecution (1 Peter 4:16-17). God’s ways are above our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9);” we don’t know why God does everything He does, and if we did, we would be God!
