Walking with God

Walking with God is not rejecting or walking away from God's truth We cannot truly walk with God unless we agree with Him To walk with God, we must disagree with the devil. Walking with God is not too busy to spend time with the God who created us Just as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Zacharias walked with God so can we walk with God We can walk with God daily by agreeing with God and His Word And replacing self-focused thinking with a God-focused mindset Walking with God is not giving money to the church, wanting public recognition when helping the poor. Walking with God gives us assurance of his presence and power in our lives. When we walk with God our focus is only on God and we will let go of all worldly distractions Walking with God is not holding a gigantic check and shaking hands in front of several TV cameras, announcing it with trumpets, and boasting ourselves on how much we donated. When we walk with God, we follow God's lead and avoid the behaviors which led us astray When we walk with God, we obey God's commands and follow the instructions of God Walking with God requires walking away from sin and walking in the righteousness of God in Christ. Walking with God gives us assurance of who we are in Christ, and confident hope of our glorious destination. Walking with God is not walking in desires of Sinful nature, but willing to suffer for Christ. Walking with God is not living in comfort zones, owning millions of dollars’ worth of properties, having luxury houses, luxury cars, furniture, etc Walking with God is being humble before God, putting off pride, selfish desires, anger, bitterness, greed and helping the needy, preaching the word of God and living the word of God. When we walk with God we will never walk alone because Jesus himself has given us His Holy Spirit to indwell and guide us in all things. When we walk with God we are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit of God in Christ as his chosen ones, set apart as his possession and to keep away from destruction. To walk with God means that we are moving in harmony with God and we do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Walking with God means to live in the presence of God, observing the commands of the LORD our God by walking in his ways and by fearing him. Walking with God means knowing God and having a deep and intimate relationship with Him When we walk with the Lord, our will is going to align with God's will. When we walk with God, we choose to imitate Him and glorify Him in every way. When we walk with God we act with justice, truth, and forgiveness and we treasure God's, gracious love. When we walk with the Lord, we draw closer to the Lord with all our hearts. He becomes our focus and our hearts long for Him and seek His presence. Walking with God is to be separate from the sinful world and not to help others by befriending their wickedness. Walking with Lord is to desire to have fellowship with Christ and be like Him and grow in Holiness and Godliness. Walking with God is not to be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Walking with God is not to keep one foot in God’s word, and one foot in the world. When walking with God we desire to please God and we allow the Lord to work in our lives to make us into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. When we walk with the world we become people pleasers, throwing aside God’s commandments and making the commandments of men and traditions our Priority. When walking with the Lord we realize our need for a Savior and we walk by faith. We can’t walk with the Lord if we’re living in darkness and we can’t have God and Devil at the same time. Walking with God leads to blessed eternal life and having access to God's great promises, which He has given in His Word. Walking with God leads to bearing Fruit for the Kingdom of God Manifesting the Fruits of the Spirit, Walking with God is to walk with the true Living God, Jesus Christ Who is the way, the truth, and the life. Walking with God means we must stand uncompromisingly against the works of flesh, darkness, and works of Satan. Walking with God is not tolerating the things that God hates instead of exposing or Confronting Evil. Walking with God is not justifying disobedience to the Word of God by twisting the Scriptures, to justify a sinful lifestyle and preaching the doctrine of devils. Walking with God is Separating ourselves from all ungodliness and the things of this world and not watching or doing worldly things that are contrary to God's word. Walking with God is not loving the things of the world but Loving our Lord our true Living God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Walking with God is not looking up to worldly idols or men or models who look good in public and eternally lost Souls. Walking with God is not Partnering up with unbelievers and those who compromise their walk with Jesus Christ. Walking with God is having a Servant’s Heart and not serving God for Financial Gain. Walking with God is not Compromising with the World and being rich and famous. Walking with God is not merely hearers of the word but doers of the word. Walking with God is keeping the full Armor of God and enduring hardships, sufferings, and trials through Christ. Walking with God is being born of God, forsaking sin, crucifying our flesh and picking up the cross, and Following Christ Jesus.

Do I need a Godly direction?

We need to speak positive words, stand in faith, and claim the promises of God for our lives. Scripture confession helps us to focus on positivity and negative thinking is blotted out. God’s Word is filled with truth and guidance to give light in a dark world. We are what God says we are and we need to hold fast to that confession with a fearless consciousness that God’s Word can never fail. Say these scriptures and meditate and reflect upon them. The Lord guides me always; He has satisfied my needs. In a sun[1]scorched land He strengthens my frame. I am like a well-watered garden; like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11) I am not conformed to the thinking of this world; I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. I prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God for me. (Romans 12:2) I am righteous, therefore my pathway is like the first gleam of the dawn, shining brighter and brighter until the full light of day. (Proverbs 4:18). The Lord has perfected everything that concerns me. I am filled with the knowledge of His will for me. (Psalm 138:8,Colossians 1:9) I praise the Lord, and He counsels me. Even at night, my heart instructs me. (Psalm 16:7) I call to the Lord and He answers me; He shows me great and mighty things, which I have not known; He tells me of things to come. (Jeremiah 33:3) The Lord my God teaches me to profit and leads me in the way I should go. The Lord orders my steps and He delights in my way. (Isaiah 48:17 & Psalm 27:23) I trust in the Lord with all of my heart, I do not lean on my own understanding. In all of my ways, I acknowledge Him, and He directs my paths. (Proverbs 3:5–6) The Lord instructs me and teaches me in the way I am to go; He counsels me and watches over me. (Psalm 32:8) Whether I turn to the right hand or to the left, my ears hear the voice of the Lord behind me saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21) The plans that the Lord has for me are to prosper me, and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) As I step out today, I decree the Lord of the host, shall guide my going out and coming in throughout out my life peacefully and the power from above, shall direct and order my steps into favor and breakthrough, in the name of Jesus Christ. I shall experience dynamic blessing, wherever I go and in whatever I do, and the supernatural power of God, shall fill me and my family with heavenly blessings and wonders, in the name of Jesus Christ. The power of God shall direct and connect me and my household, with divine blessings, healings, and favors of God in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord shall lead me into the path of success and breakthrough, in every area of my life and my portion shall be success and progress, in the name of Jesus Christ. Every plans of the enemies over my life and the life of my family members shall be destroyed by fire, in Jesus' Holy Name. Amen

Father,As I come before you this day, I enter into Your gates with thanksgiving and into Your courts with praise. I give you all the glory, all the thanksgiving, all the honor, and I say glory Hallelujah to Your Name. Father I take this time to magnify your Holy Name because you are more than worthy to be praised. I will bless You, O Lord at all times and Your praises shall continually be in my mouth. Father I serve you with gladness as I come before Your presence with thanksgiving. With How excellent is Thy name in all the earth. There is no one like You, O Lord for You are far above all nations, kings and kingdoms. You are the God of Gods, King of kings, and the Lord of lords. Daily Prayer Confession for Childrens

In the name of Jesus Christ, I decree that my children come into the full knowledge of the Lord. My children receive the saving grace of Jesus and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I decree that my children become “alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord,” (Rom. 6:11), by the influence of the Holy Spirit. I decree that my children present their bodies “as living sacrifices; holy and acceptable unto God,” (Rom. 12:1). I decree that my children will not “present members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin” but will, at all times, “...present their members as instruments of righteousness unto God” (Rom. 6:13). In the name of Jesus, I speak purity and holiness over my children. I command any assigned demon that would produce lust, sexual immorality, perversion to be destroyed in the name of Jesus, I block such demons from accessing my children. I decree that my children’s love for God will be without hypocrisy. My children abhor what is evil and cling to what is good, (Rom. 12:9). I decree that my children’s conduct is worthy of the gospel of Christ, (Rom. 1:27). I decree that my children are not carnally-minded. I decree that my children will not live according to the flesh, (Romans 8:13) but will live according to the Spirit of Christ. I cut off any influence of the spirit of error from my children’s life and, I terminate all ungodly thinking, actions and habits in Jesus Mighty Name. I bind any assigned demon attempting to attach themselves to my children to produce rebellion, disobedience, apathy, deceptions, insecurities, rejection, abandonment, fears, lying, stealing, compulsions, resentment, moral compromise, spiritual incapacitation, barrenness, illness, accidents, pride, rage, arrogance, jealousy, revenge, insanity, instability, manipulation, violence or death, in the Name of Jesus. By the influence of the Holy Spirit, I release the manifestation of love, self-control and holiness in my children’s lives. I decree that goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their lives. I decree that my children will be “fervent in purity, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer” (Rom. 12:11-12). In Jesus name, I release the manifestation of righteousness, integrity and godliness upon my children. I decree that my children hear the voice of the Lord without demonic interferences, (Isa. 30:21). In the name of Jesus, I decree that my children will have a zeal for God according to knowledge, (Rom. 10:2). My children will “not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of their minds…” (Rom. 12:2). I decree that my children will be “wells with water” (II Peter 2:17). I decree that my children will be “doers of the word, and not hearers only,” (James 1:22). In the name of Jesus, I decree that my children will not be tainted, influenced, manipulated or persuaded by the dictates, tastes, mentality, norms or idols of our secular society. By the blood of Jesus, I now remove the influences in our household that foster worldly mindsets and ungodly influences. I decree that nothing “shall be able to separate my children from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord,” (Rom. 8:39). In the name of Jesus, I decree that the Lord commands His angles to guard my children and I pray that they are kept in all of their ways. I decree that the Lord preserves their going out and their coming in. In the name of Jesus, I command all demons carrying work orders concerning my children’s physical, mental or emotional well-being be destroyed at its roots right now by the blood of Jesus Christ. I declare that all demonic plans to interfere with my children’s present or future associations be aborted and removed by the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I decree that my children put on the garments of righteousness. I decree that the fruit of the Spirit which is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control be dominant in the life of my children, (Gal. 5:22). I declare my children are examples to the believers in word, conduct, love, faith and purity. (I Timothy 4:12). I proclaim that the Lord commands his angels to guard my childrens in all of their ways, therefore they are kept safe and secure, in all my ways. (Ps 91:11) In the name of Jesus Christ, I command any demons assigned to produce spiritual, financial famine within my children be destroyed by its roots by the Blood of Jesus Christ. I decree that my children will see k the Lord and will delight themselves in the Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, I decree that the spiritual gifts of my children will be revealed. I proclaim that their calling will be made known and that their anointing will be made manifest. I decree that my children will be used mightily in the advancement of the kingdom and the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, I decree that all blessings, favors, protection and healing that the Lord has intended for my children shall manifest in His timing. In the name of Jesus Christ, I destroy, cancel all blockages, obstacles, satanic schemes, assignments and work orders, hindrances that the Satan is using against my children and their divine purposes. In the name of Jesus Christ, I decree that the Lord will deliver my children from every evil work and preserve them for His heavenly kingdom,” (II Tim. 4:18). According to Ps. 127:3 says, children are a heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward,” therefore, I declare that my children are a delight to me all the days of my life! In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that My children have been delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed into the Kingdom of the Son of His love (Colossians 1:13). The blood of Jesus reversed every part of the curse i.e. sickness and disease, poverty and lack, addiction and any type of bondage, etc. These things don’t have any legal right to be there any longer because of what Jesus did on the cross. His blood overcame and defeated the enemy (Hebrews 2:14, 15; Colossians 2:15; 1 John 3:8).Amen

All of the things in his life that bring dishonor to Gods name he removes without hesitation. -----------is careful to keep the law of love, that perfect law of liberty, in his life. ----------- lives every day in full realization that he is God ’s son and that God is his Father. 2. According to EZEKIEL 36:25-27, I declare and confess that- ----------has been cleansed from all of his impurities and can stand in God’s presence free of guilt and all sense of inadequacy. He has been born again and recreated in the image of our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has taken up residence within his heart and ----- has all the power that he needs to live the godly life that is required of him. ------belongs to God and Satan cannot stop him ----------s destiny which is the glory of heaven itself. 3. Lord, deliver ---------and his spouse from the evil spirit of unforgiveness, hatred, anger, bitterness, and abuse that is poisoning his mind and relationship. According to Ephesians 4:29 I decree and declare that no corrupt communication proceed out of ---------‘s mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.

How are we supposed to treat our enemies?

By Shaila Touchton We are children of God. God commands us to love our enemies. Taking vengeance on those who wrong us is normal natural human attitude. As Christians, loving our enemies, serves as one of the most powerful witnessing tools. God calls us to be salt and light, to stand out in the crowd displaying Christ-like love in today’s hatred filled cruel world. Sometimes even our family members can act as an enemy. When they do sin and do wrong to us with cause or without cause, as a mere normal human being we don’t get good vibes to allow them to be around us because they always trouble or abuse us one or other way or they can hurt repeatedly by their behavior or actions or through their words because of their evil and wickedness and unrepentant heart. There are lots of enemies in our society. These people can be found in the family cycle, among friends, coworkers, churches, among religious people, neighbors, relatives etc. A person who operates in envy and jealousy can easily be used, to carryout satanic assignment (Prov 6:34). The Bible also says, by their fruits, you shall know them (Matt 7:16). These evil people are the children of devil who operate with the support of satanic powers to steal, kill and destroy us or our life or families or future. There are hidden enemies or Household enemies around us we have to be watchful, they love us, they eat with us, they laugh and cry with us, they even behave like they are God-sent people, but spiritually, they are killing us. Matthew 10:16: I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. They disguise themselves as good people outward and they know every detail about us. But they wait for an opportunity to try to bring us down, through false accusation as a result of envy and jealousy. Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, who ate, sang, danced, healed, preached together with Jesus Christ, later he betrayed Jesus Christ and handed him over to his enemies by voluntary decision. Jesus loved everyone. When Judas came to betray the Lord, He called him “friend.” When evil men nailed Jesus Christ to the cross, He asked His Father to “forgive them. The Lord sets our example to follow. He loved His enemies. Jesus never condemned anyone; He came to save sinners (John 3:17). Now how do we identify our enemy? Our enemy can be a family member, neighbor, coworker, fellow-citizen, or government representative or anyone who does not like us or hate us without a cause. 1. Anyone who curses or speaks evil of us can be our enemy (Mt 5:44, Luke 6:28) 2. An enemy is the one who hates us for some or other thing and who has some kind of reasons to despise us. Some may even don’t have any reason to hate us. It could be religious purpose, racial, political, or any personal reasons John15:18-19. 3. Any enemy can be any one who spitefully uses us or takes advantages of our goodness, innocence, compassionate heart, kindness or our generosity. An enemy is the one who treats us despitefully, falsely accuses us, kills our characters, spread rumors and gossips about us, talk evil behind us, who insults, condemns us, mocks at us, slander us. They are lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unthankful , heartless, unappeasable, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure, cowardly, angry people, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, some even appear to be godly but they are operate under religious demonic spirits who also pronounces curses upon us for all the good we do to them. These enemies are evil and wicked by nature controlled by demonic spirits. They constantly bring tears and hurt their victims repeatedly, they break their hearts all the time. (2Timothy3:1-5, Revelation21:8) These enemies sometimes disguise themselves as family members and relatives, friends or religious holy people just as Satan “disguises himself as an angel of light in 2 Corinthians 11:14–15. Jesus Christ was also betrayed and forsaken by his own disciples. He took blasphemous false accusations from the world, Jesus was despised and rejected by men He was betrayed by Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. Jesus received blasphemous false accusations from the world. He was denied, abandoned, mocked, was arrested and bound. He was rejected by his own hometown and was asked deceitful questions. He was ridiculed by his own family members, he was blindfolded, beaten Struck with blows, was arrested, wounded, bruised unaccompanied by his accusers. He was falsely charged, chastised, endured stripes, oppressed, led to the slaughter Cut off from the land of the living, he was abused by the roman soldiers. He was scourged, put on a crown of thorns on his head, a reed in His right hand Struck Him on the head with the reed. The soldiers striped him and divided His garments, nailed on the cross He bore his own cross and was crucified. The chief priests with the scribes mocked and sneered at him. 4. Any enemy can be anyone who mistreats us in any way, like they did to Jesus Christ in Mathew 27:27-30. 5. Any enemy could be anyone who persecutes you and pursues with repeated enmity as described in Mathew 5:44. Why God wants us to love our enemies? 1.God wants us to love our enemies because he wants us to follow the example of Christ, to be sons of our Eternal Father in heaven (Mathew 5:45-48) . 2. He wants us to be kind to evil and unthankful men (Luke 6:35-36, Romans 5:8-10, Colo 1:21) . 3. He doesn’t want us to be like those unrepentant cruel hearted sinners. He wants us to be partakers of divine nature (2 Peter1:4) Even God is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. He gives chances to everyone to turn away from their sins through genuine repentance. God makes his Sun rise on the evil and on the good and He sends rain on the just and on the unjust. God wants us to extend the grace towards evil people so that our true love can transform them and make them a child of God because as it says in Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. 4. When our enemy is hungry, we are suppose to feed them as it says in Romans 12:20. 5. God wants us to love our enemies and do good to them who hate us as it says in Luke 6:27. 6. God wants us to help our enemies as it stated in Exodus 23:4. 7. We are to love our enemy by blessing them as commanded by Jesus, Paul, and Peter in Mathew 5:44, 1peter 3:9, Romans 12:14) 8. God wants us to pray for them (Luke6:28). Jesus modeled unconditional love at the cross. His enemies were driving spikes into his flesh. And he prayed, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). Jesus says to love your enemies and pray for them “so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:45).

Daily Prayer I come in agreement with the heavens and saints to declare Your glory! Lord, release the mysteries unto me to bring heaven down to the earth. The stars (chief angels) are battling on my behalf ahead of time. I bless my spirit, soul and body and I tell my spirit, body and soul to line up under Holy Spirit. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare I am in divine alignment with you today as always. Your Word abides in me and I abide in you. I decree goodness, favor, Blessings, protection, healing deliverance and victory into my life from now on. I live Every day in accordance with your divine plan and purpose for me and for my life. I decree and declare that my children and my household are being redeemed from all evil and are being brought back and pulled out of evil by the Angel of the Lord. According to Ephesians 1:17-19 I pray that the great God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may give me the wisdom of His Spirit and revelation, so that I may know him better. I pray that my heart will be able to understand. I pray that I will know about the hope given by God’s call. I pray that I will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him. I pray that I will know how great His power is for those who have put their trust in Him. It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. This same power put Christ at God’s right side in heaven. Forever, Lord, Your Word is established in the heavens. My destiny is connected to that. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Order my steps, O God, in Your Word, and let not iniquity have dominion over me. I make covenant with the Word of God, and I break covenant with death, hell, and the grave. This is not just for me, but it is also for my future generations. The word of wisdom will flow, the word of knowledge will flow, the prophetic anointing will flow, the spirit of discernment will flow, and the healing virtue will flow, to me in the name of Jesus Christ. I dismantle every demonic plan against me and replace it with the plans of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. I cover my family and myself with the blood of Jesus Christ. I decree that I am healed, I am whole, and I am walking in supernatural divine health in the name of Jesus. I will walk in divine health all the days of my life. No weapon of infirmity and sickness will prosper against me, and any attacks on my health be destroyed at its roots by the Blood of Jesus Christ. I decree and declare that my Great Physician Jesus Christ will have the final say in the state of my health, and I will believe only His report. I confess that I am redeemed from the curse of the law, which included sickness and disease, and I confess that I live under your covenant, which promises prosperity and good health in the name of Jesus. Father, I thank You for the hosts of heaven and the angels are being released that are operating on my behalf. In the name of Jesus, I release the angels of prosperity on my behalf according to Genesis 24:40. Because I walk before the Lord, the angels of the Lord will prosper my way. Lord, I thank You for angelic intervention in my dreams. Let the same anointing that was on Jacob be on me to dream dreams of angels. Lord, I thank You for the angel of the Lord released to give me peace and to increase my faith. I thank You for Your angels that watch over me (Dan. 4:13—14) Lord, I thank You for the angels that: Are sent to answer prayer acc .to (Dan. 9:21-23), Minister peace and encouragement acc. To (Dan. 10:12; Acts 27:23-25), Remind God's people of His love according to (Dan. 10: 10-11), Deliver warnings acc to (Matt. 2:13), Reap the End Time harvest acc to (Matt. 13:39) Minister to children acc to (Matt. 18:10), Inform believers acc to (Luke 1:13—20) , Rejoice when souls are saved acc to (Luke 15:10), Strengthen believers acc to (Luke 22:43). Father, prepare my heart and mind that I may not lean to my own understanding but will acknowledge You in all my ways. Give me a fresh anointing daily. As I put on the whole armor of God, I declare THAT no weapon formed against me and my family shall prosper and every tongue that rises up in judgment against me and my family will be condemned in the name of Jesus Christ! I stand firm on this promise Lord. You are my protector, my shield, my savior and my strength in times of trouble. You will never leave me or forsake me; of this I am assured. According to Ephesians 6:11-13 I will Put on the full armor of God, that I may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For my struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, I take up the full armor of God, that I may be able to resist the devil in everything. I declare according to Jeremiah 29:11 For you know the plans you have for me,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give you hope and a future.” Oh God, you are my healer and my deliverer. You bring me peace and well-being. Bless me with health, oh Lord. Your Word says by the stripes of Jesus Christ I am healed. You bore my sufferings and illnesses and nailed them on the cross. And so, I declare good health and healing and well-being upon me and my family. Remember Lord my God, you said according to Jeremiah 30:17 that you will restore my health and heal my wounds, please give me good health healing and restore my Health. I declare according to Acts 10:38-19 Just like Jesus of Nazareth, God has anointed me with the Holy Spirit and with power; therefore, I go about doing good and healing all who are oppressed by the devil, for God is with me. I declare According to Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, To deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” I declare according to (Matt. 18:19) If two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask," He said, "it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven”. So, I pray and make agreement with the Holy Spirit who is my comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener teacher, guide, leading me into all truth, who lives within me that my prayer is answered in Jesus Mighty Name whose Name Above All Names, who is the Lord of lords, Author of Life and salvation, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, who is First and Last, the Beginning and the End, the author and finisher of our faith, the way , truth and life and Lord of both the dead and the living. Amen.

Gates of hell

The phrase the "gates of hell" is translated in some versions as the "gates if Hades." "Gates of hell" or "gates of Hades" is found only once in the entire Scriptures, in Matthew 16:18. In this passage, Jesus is referring to the building of His Church: "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). At that time Jesus had not yet established His church. In fact, this is the first instance of the word church in the New Testament. The word church, as used by Jesus, is derived from the Greek ekklasia, which means the "called out" or "assembly." In other words, the church that Jesus is referencing as His church is the assembly of people who have been called out of the world by the gospel of Christ. Bible scholars debate the actual meaning of the phrase "and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." One of the better interpretations of meaning of this phrase is as follows. In ancient times, the cities were surrounded by walls with gates of these cities would usually be the first place their enemies assaulted. This was because the protection of the city was determined by the strength or power of its gates. As such, the "gates of hell" or "gates of Hades" means the power of Hades. The name "Hades" was originally the name of the god who presided over the realm of the dead and was often referred to as the "house of Hades." It designated the place to which everyone who departs this life descends, regardless of their moral character. In the New Testament, Hades is the realm of the dead, and in this verse Hades or hell is represented as a mighty city with its gates representing its power. Jesus refers here to His impending death. Though He would be crucified and buried, He would rise from the dead and build His church. Jesus is emphasizing the fact that the powers of death could not hold Him in. Not only would the church be established in spite of the powers of Hades and hell, but the church would thrive in spite of these powers. The church will never fail, though generation after generation succumbs to the power of physical death, yet other generation will arise to perpetuate the church. And it will continue until it has fulfilled its mission on earth as Jesus has commanded: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). It is clear that Jesus was declaring that death has no power to hold God's people captive. Its gates are not strong enough to overpower and keep imprisoned the church of God. The Lord has conquered death (Romans 8:2; Acts 2:24). And because "death no longer is master over Him" (Romans 6:9), it is no longer master over those who belong to Him. Satan has the power of death, and he will always use that power to try to destroy the church of Christ. But we have this promise from Jesus that His church, the "called out," will prevail: "Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live" (John 14:19). Amen.

God is not the Author of Confusion (SPEAKING WITH TONGUES)

1 Corinthians 14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. Explanation 1. "For if I pray"- deliberate act, not taught (This is not someone asking you to muddle some strange syllables together) 2. In an unknown tongue- a language "not known" to the particular audience you are addressing. 3. My spirit prayeth- not the Holy Spirit as some claim, it's Paul's spirit talking to God. 4. My understanding- Paul's understanding of what he is saying. 5. Is unfruitful- not productive or beneficial (edifying) to his audience because they don't understand him. Conclusion 1. The speaker here who is Paul understands what he is saying but his speech is unknown to his audience. 2. Unknown tongues in the Bible are not some syllabic combination of funny words that ultimately equals gibberish. E.g lababa yabamaraba mayakaba tayajabayaba. It's a language spoken that is unknown to some but known to others depending on your audience. E.g If A Chinese man speaks Mandarin to a Yoruba audience, Mandarin will be said to be "unknown" to the audience but not to the speaker. To show that the Speaker understands what he is saying,he is required to interpret to his audience in the verses below. 1. 1 Corinthians 14:5 "...for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, EXCEPT HE INTERPRET,that the church may receive edifying." Notice- "except He interpret" 2. 1 Corinthians 14: 28 "But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the Church; and let HIM SPEAK TO HIMSELF, and TO GOD." Question to Think Do you speak to yourself a language you don't understand? What will be the benefit of speaking to God a language you don't understand? Note- Every language has it's semantics. Take any language you will find parts of speech in it. However, if you take today's so called tongues, it's full of repetition. Don't be deceived. God is not the author of confusion.

Why does God allow Satan to attack us? By Shaila Touchton Satan's attacks against us come in various forms. The Devil is more furious than ever because he knows that he has a little time (Rev 12:12). He stirs up the powers of hell to work against all children of God. Lucifer is the fallen angel who became Satan, waiting as the serpent to tempt Eve and Adam. Satan and his demonic followers all chose to battle God and His Plans. Satan attacked Eve in the Garden of Eden in the form of a serpent. Adam and Eve sinned, and all people have become sinful in nature and are likewise open to the temptations of Satan (1 Peter 5:8). Satan is the god of this world. The Devil deceives mankind Satan became prince of the world. God allows Satan or his demons to come against us to strengthen our faith in God so that we can build our trust in God and put our armor of God to stand against Satan schemes. In 2nd Corinthians 11:15, the Devil TRANSFORMS himself into an ANGEL OF LIGHT by using a disguise to hide his true identity. We see many people including Christians in this world portrays as a good person outside and inwardly their act as a follower of Devil. Their talks and actions reveal the works of Satan. Satan works relentlessly to CORRUPT the church, the Word of God, and to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan claims to be a Christian, and his demonic servants have changed THEMSELVES into ministers of righteousness. They are of the Devil, liars, who will take us to Hell with them if we foolish enough to follow. Satan influences the unsaved unbelievers of this world by blinding their minds so that they cannot see the light of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). The unsaved man knows not God, not having God's Spirit (1st Corinthians 2:14 As a believers and followers of God in Jesus Christ, we are given the right to become children of God (John 1:10-13) it means, we have the God's power through the Holy Spirit that dwells in us and we become salt of the earth, and the light of the world. (Mathew 5:13-16; John8:12,9:5) .it is our job to cast Satan out, as a child of God (mark 16:17-18). God doesn't ENJOY seeing anyone suffering, but He does ALLOW people to suffer for various reasons. God reaches people through suffering. Sometimes God allows righteous suffering so that the suffering can bring Glory to God. Sometimes to prove that we can rely on God to deliver us from our trials. Some times he teaches us to be patient. The man in Matthew 8:2 who had God reaches people through suffering leprosy; he would never have turned to God if he was in perfect health. Nebuchadnezzar didn't fear God until God humbled him by making his spend seven years of his life on his hands and knees like an animal (Dan. 4:30-37). Sometimes He will even use the tragedy, disappointments to bring OTHERS to Christ. We also read in John 11:45 that many believed on the Lord Jesus Christ BECAUSE OF LAZARUS. When a believer chooses to deny himself and follow Christ, he chooses to suffer for the Lord. Sometimes we suffer because of our godliness (II Timothy 2:12). our spiritual weapons and defenses against the Devil are: Loins gird about with TRUTH, Breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, Feet shod with preparation of the GOSPEL, Helmet of SALVATION, Sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD, Shield of FAITH and PRAYING in the Spirit Satan cannot fool us, misled us, nor defeat us if we abide in the living Words of God. Hebrews 4:12 says that God's Word (the Holy Bible) are ALIVE, they are quick living and powerful. In times of hurt and sorrow, we should turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in Prayer and to His precious Word for consolation and comfort, not to people. Friends and family may let us down but Jesus Christ our God and Savior never will. “Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you” (1st Peter 5:7). We are to trust God at all times without doubt or wavering. Job said, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15). People get upset with God today over the silliest things. In the scripture Job lost nearly everything and still maintained his faith in God. That’s the solid faith we need to have in God. Happy is the man which trust in the Lord (Proverb 16:20), “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy” (James 5:11). Hard times are worth more than their weight in gold, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth…” (1st Peter 1:7). Notice, “MUCH MORE” precious than gold. Why? Because unshakable faith comes from having your faith shaken, and faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). Though suffering is never a joy in itself, be assured that God knows what He is doing, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2nd Corinthians 4:17). It’s a blessed truth and encouragement for us. We should never think Suffering as a a sign of judgment! God does allow SOME afflictions in our lives; it is only because He loves us and has a greater purpose than ours. Afflictions, sufferings are a part of life. For the unbelievers and unsaved, it brings misery with no hope and for the godly, it brings misery with hope. Always remember we are commanded to FIGHT the good FIGHT of faith (1st Timothy 6:12). We are supposed to stand up against evil doers (Psalm 94:16). Hope this message brings you all some kind of comfort! May Gods grace be with you All!

CATEGORIES OF SINNERS.

CATEGORIES OF SINNERS. 1. Sinner that knows himself as a sinner but still refuse to change Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 2. Sinner that sees himself as a believer, and therefore refuse to repent. Proverb 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 3. Sinner that downplay his sin with the belief that no one is perfect. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. 4. Sinner that acts as a believer for just to get what they are looking for. James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 5. Sinner that sees himself as a sinner and he//she is seeking for repentance. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. BIBLE REFERENCE 2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Why do we have many fake Preachers?

1. IGNORANCE: Many people who are called a pastor do not really understand what the word of God really says. These people called themselves a pastor but they do not have a good understanding of the word of God. They do not have a deep understanding of the necessity of holiness in pastoral work. Some were just ordained based on their education, wealth, social status, generosity to the church, and their age in church service. Their internal and external characters were not taken into consideration. Their understanding of the word of God usually based on how they have been taught in their church, not about what the bible really says. These people cannot use spiritual eyes to read and understanding what the bible really says except how they have been taught by their mentor. So if their mentor only teach them about prosperity, sign and wonder without holiness, they will also do the same whenever they, too, become a pastor. Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 2. AGENDA: Many people who call themselves pastor have some hidden agenda. The agenda of some people is to get riches, fame, honour etc. That is why they teach people what they want to hear in order to fulfill their agenda of getting rich. They use the message of prosperity to lure people into their church, and their evangelism was just to increase the number of tithe payers. No wonder some pastor keep billions of naira in their personal account while some have different kinds of cars, houses, etc. They give themselves title of respect, their wives were made as women leader without looking at her godliness, and their children are in the abroad. They go out to tell people to come to their church under the guise of winning soul, but their aim and agenda was to increase the number of people that will be paying tithes, offerings, donation etc. They invite worldly musicians, comedians, actors etc into their church in order to entertain their members so that they will keep coming to the church. They associate themselves with politicians, rich business man, rich worldly musicians etc without showing them the way of salvation. They even go to their house to pray without the message of repentance. How do we expect them to emphasize on holy living since their agenda is to get riches, fame, honour etc. Philippians 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 3. BACKSLIDING: Some pastors were once a good pastor, but they have now backslid. Truly some church members might not notice this. They might just be overlooking all the mistakes those backsliding pastors are making without taking time to warn and to pray for their restoration. Those backsliding pastors are now doing what they once preach against. They are now the friend ungodly politicians, businessmen without telling them about repentance. They are now afraid to tell those in government to do well for the nation. They are no longer interested in taking care of widows, fatherless, and those poor pastors that are under them. Truly they preach against fake pastors, but when those fake pastors invite them to come and preach in his church. They will go there and preach in accordance with the doctrine of that church without telling them about holiness. Some people might not notice their backsliding because of their popularity. Nigeria has plenty of them, you probably attend the assembly of one of them or you are a fan of one. Traits of False prophets: 1. They have a good, gentle and sincere outlook. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in SHEEP'S CLOTHING, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 2. They predict elections, sport and events and it doesn't happen as predicted. Note- If any of their prediction fails, they are not of God, God does not make a mistake. Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. 3. They use fair speeches (they are good public speakers, educated and catchy) Romans 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 4. They sell handkerchiefs, "holy water", "anointing oil for healing. This is contrary to the Bible Command. James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Are Clergies Superior in Gods Kingdom? By Shaila Touchton Christ as the head of the church and He is the supreme authority. Believers have different callings and gifts (Romans 12:6), they're all servants of the Lord (Romans 14:4). Paul and Timothy called themselves the “servants” of the Corinthian church (2 Corinthians 4:5). Peter viewed Silas as his “faithful brother” (1 Peter 5:12). 1 Corinthians 12 through 14, much of Ephesians, and Romans 12 emphasize the important brotherhood of all believers in Jesus and therefore the humility that each one got to demonstrate as we exercise our spiritual gifts and offices to bless one another. All believers are the people of God (2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Peter 2:9-10). All of God’s people are "a people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession" (1 Peter 2:9). Therefore, the differentiation between clergy and laity, as most know it today, isn't biblical. We all are servants of the Lord (Romans 14:4). The words clergy and laity aren't within the Bible. it's true that under the Old Covenant there was a priesthood composed of the descendants of Moses’ brother, Aaron. These priests served God in certain capacities. In the Bible there are not any second-class citizens within the Kingdom of God, just fellow laborers with differing gifts (1 Cor 12). Each disciple should determine what gifts God has given them. The presence of the Spirit of God, which came on prophets, priests and kings in the past can come on anyone. Gods decide to have humble servants oversee the spiritual needs of the congregation which gave a chance for clergies and other church leaders to elevation of certain leaders within the church over other members. We are reminded in Acts 2:17, that In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. (Joel2:28-29) And God told us to offer ourselves as sacrifice in Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. We have only One Leader, and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself taught us not to use titles like “Father,” “Leader,” or “Rabbi” to distinguish ourselves or set ourselves apart from other believers. He said, "But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. But the greatest among you shall be your servant.” (Mat 23:8-11). So, we should not use the titles “Father,” "Teacher," or "Leader," when addressing those who serve in equipping ministries, since we are all brothers. We shouldn’t let anyone address us with titles and we should not address anyone with titles. Rather, we must walk in humility. The Lord condemned the wearing of spiritual titles that exalted certain men above others (Matt. 23:112). There was no distinction made within the Bible between clergy and laity. God's people are equally His inheritance in Christ (Eph. 1:11). Because Christians are priests and ministers, we all belong to God. The people of God isn't a separate a part of God's family (Heb. 4:9; Tit. 2:14; 1 Pet. 2:9). God's "people" are His "heritage. Jesus never differentiated anyone as you belong to clergy class and you belong to laity class. All who became children of God have entered the ministry or service of God (Rom. 6:14-23) because the apostles were sent forth to hold on Christ's ministry (Jn. 20:21), all Christians likewise have a ministry to satisfy. He said to them, “Go everywhere within the world. Tell the good News to everyone. (Mk. 16:15). Christians also are described as the living stones which are built up a spiritual to be a holy priesthood, to supply up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. we belong to royal priesthood (1 Pet. 2:5,9). All believers in Christ are priests! As priests we are ready to offer "a sacrifice of praise to God" and sacrifices of service to Him (Heb. 13:15-1.6; Phil. 2:17). We are to be "living sacrifices" (Rom. 12:1), always striving to be acceptable to the Lord. However, we as priests cannot offer the sacrifice for our sin. We are priests who enjoy all spiritual blessings as a result of the death of our "great High Priest," Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:12). It's only by the sacrifice of Christ for our sins that we are ready to render service as priests to Him. God’s Word tells us that each genuine Christian believer functions as God’s ministers which means none is above or beneath to anyone (2 Corinthians 3:5, 6) . Bible says that each one true Christians should serve God and praise his name. (Romans 10:9, 10). The clergy-laity distinction exalts the clergy instead of exalt true God and High Priest our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, Jesus said: “He that conducts himself as a lesser one of all of you is that the one that's great.” (Luke 9:48). In light of Paul’s remark in 1 Cor. 12:14 that “the body isn't one part but many “. “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and a few to be pastors and teachers, to organize God’s people for ministry in order that the body of Christ could also be built up until we all reach unity within the faith and within the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the entire measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13. Then we are all built up, have unity and maturity in Christ! Peter wrote to the elders, referring to himself as a fellow elder (1 Pet 5:1). He himself considered an elder even though he was also an apostle. He states that an elder should “shepherd the flock of God, exercising oversight.” (1 Pet 5:2). Since an elder shepherd the flock and provides oversight, so he can be an overseer . In New testament, we see that elders or overseers are either pastors, teachers, apostles, prophets, or evangelists. The head is our Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Peter wrote to the elders saying, “And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” (1Pe 5:4) We need to understand that all disciples in the kingdom of God are priests. A priest, according to the Word of God, is one who represents men before Almighty God and performs a holy service in God’s house. In John’s Revelation, he wrote: “He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Rev 1:6). 1Peter 2:9-10 says “But you are a chosen race, A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” So, Scripture teaches that all true believers In Christ are priests and are part of God’s holy priesthood. The spiritual sacrifice we offer is our own body, and the service we perform is to proclaim the excellencies of Christ. The term priest is not reserved for limited individuals, but is used for all disciples in the realm of God. The apostle Paul affirmed this also. He wrote to the Corinthians, “Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1Co 1:10). We are to exalt, glorify God in everything. Jesus is our creator in Genesis, Passover Lamb in Exodus, High Priest in Leviticus, He is our Redeemer in Ruth, Prophet, Priest and King in 1 Samuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace in Isaiah, Messiah who is a God in the flesh in John, the Great Physician in James, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords in Revelation and The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End. He is the Head of the Body, the Chief Shepherd of the flock. Let’s humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God and restore Jesus Christ to His rightful place in the Church as our One Leader. There is no superior seat reserved for clergies or laities nor any superior differences between them. In the new testament it says there are 5 different heavenly rewards such as crown, believers can receive the victors crown, the crown of rejoicing, the crown of righteousness, the crown of life and the crown of Glory. In Matthew 19:28-29, Jesus clearly told his disciples they would have a greater reward than those in Heaven over whom they will judge: “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” Daniel 12:3: “And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20: For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. Some may defend that being a clergy they can offer mass. We can see that the Bible tells us Christ offered himself once, and that there is no need for repetition of his sacrifice. But what does the scripture say in (Heb. 7:26-27). “For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself,” So, Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him,” (Heb. 9:28). By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all, 11 And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,” (Heb. 10:10-12).“And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;” (Heb. 10:11).
