Spiritual gift of discernment.

By: Shaila T | April 04, 2017 The Holy Spirit gives the gift of discernment to certain believers((1 Cor 12:7-11, 1 Cor 14:1) in Christ to clearly recognize and distinguish to find whether they are from God, Satan, the world or from human in any situation . Such Believers compare spiritual things with spiritual and are able to examine from a Biblical perspective different from world’s perspective (1 Corinthians 2:12) and see behind what a person is saying and presenting, whether they are telling truth or false. They have the Holy Spirit working in them which shows them the difference between truth and error, light and darkness, righteousness and sin, victory and defeat, and the Spirit and the flesh. But we sometimes need to be very careful about people who claim to have spiritual discernment who have false spirits endangering our Christian lives and they criticize someone they dislike to make themselves good or accuse someone with false things to justify their own sin or to attract attention to themselves. They are showing the signs of strong deceptions and powerful delusions. Such people are self righteous and have a spiritual pride. The true lovers of God are humble, having a heart for God. They are gracious, contiunosuly seeking God and obeying him in everything. They are Empathetic, faithful, down to earth person and very prayerful not boasting. Mathew 13:11 says He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 1 John 4:1 says that Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
