The Woman = Jerusalem=Great Harlot=Babylon.

By: Shaila Touchton | April 04, 2017 1.Jerusalem has killed the Saints - the Prophets, Apostles, and Jesus (Luke 13:34, Matthew 23:37, Rev 17:6, Rev 18:20-21, Rev 18:24). The Pharisees of Jerusalem killed Stephen who was the first of "the martyrs of Jesus.( Acts 7:54-8:3). 2.Mt. Zion & Jerusalem are the Capital City for the Saints (Hebrews 12:18,22-24). 3.Jerusalem is built on seven mountains.The seven mountains upon which Jerusalem was built are Mount Zion, Mount Ophel, Mount Moriah, Mount Bezetha, Mount Acra, Mount Gareb, and Mount Goath.( Rev 17:9 , Psalms 125:2) 4.Caesar ruled over Jerusalem. The highest religious authorities in Jerusalem, and all the Jews living in Jerusalem, even admitted that Caesar is their king (John 19:15). 5.In Jeremiah 23:14, because of the adulterous prophets, God said that Jerusalem and her inhabitants had "become to Me like Sodom." (Rev 11:8, Rev14:8) 6.Luke 13:33-34, Jesus said, "[T]oday and tomorrow, and on the following [day], I must travel on, because it is not possible [for] a prophet to perish outside Jerusalem. Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The [one] killing the prophets, and stoning those having been sent to her." 7. Jerusalem is known for her abominations(Ezekiel 16:1-2,Ezekiel 16:22) 8. Sons of a sorceress, offspring of an adulterer and a prostitute” (Isaiah 57:3). 9.The great harlot is the "great city". The "great city" is Jerusalem. The Lord was crucified in Jerusalem, the great city, which is the great harlot. ( Rev 11:8, Rev 17:18) MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.( Rev 17:5) 10. Where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues(Rev 17:15) 11.The woman is wearing red and purple, with a cup of gold in hand. The Israelite priests wear red and purple, and used cups of gold in the temple worship. (Rev 17:4, Rev 18:16). God commanded that the priests' vestments be made with purple and scarlet yarn (Ex. 28:4-8, 15, 33, 39:1-8, 24, 29). 12.Great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls(Rev 18:16, Exodus 25:29, Dan 5:2-3). 13.The woman also drinks the cup of wrath(Rev 18:3, Isaiah 51:17, Rev 14:8,Rev 14:10) 14.Jesus warned 1st century Jerusalem of pending judgment and destruction because it was the city that killed the prophets.( Luke 11:50-51). 15.Jerusalem and its people were going after pagan wives, worshipping false idols like the golden calf, and generally not being true to the covenant God had established with them during the time of Moses(Ezekiel 16:26-30) 16. Jesus Himself condemns Jerusalem. (Matthew 23:29-38). 17. Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem (Revelation 18:20, 24 Luke 21:20-24, Mathew 23:37,38,Psalm 79:1) 18.
